The Society gets back to winning ways!

Our annual match against Musselburgh Old (the 6th in the series) was played on Saturday 10th April in glorious sunshine and very little wind.

These conditions of course do not allow you to make any excuses, but LRGS had no need for those as the result was a win for Leith Rules by 4
½ to 1½, a great return to form for us.

The match as always was played in great spirit with the usual banter.

After the match we were treated to an excellent meal in the clubhouse. Grateful thanks to all at Musselburgh Old for arranging the match, the weather and the food. The return match will be played on Leith Links on the 30th June.

  The match scores were -

R. Rae / J. Duffield lost to Robin Morris / Ian Thom
A. Warnock / M Crowe lost to Eugene Bradley / Ian Hislop
B. Finnegan / S. Mc Farlane beat Chester Kruk / Bob Burns
K. Harris / E Whoriskey lost to John Still / David Rastrick
J. Jones / D. Barraclough  lost to Lionel Freedman / Graham Wilson
G. Henderson / A. Scoots halved with Martin Fletcher / Brian  Graham
