Our 5th challenge match with Musselburgh Old Golf Club held at Musselburgh on Saturday April 11th 2009 saw our opponents run out worthy winners by 4 matches to 2, making the series score 4-1 in favour of Musselburgh. Musselburgh were determined to exact their "revenge" for our victory last year, nevertheless the matches exhibited the camaraderie that has been a hallmark of the matches since they started in 2005. One notable absentee this year was Robin McGregor, the MOGC secretary, who was recovering from a nasty injury sustained whilst on holiday. All in LRGS wish him a speedy recovery.

		The return event at the Links using Hickory clubs will be held on Wednesday 8th July 2009. LRGS are confident of overturning this result, but there again, as can be seen in the photographs, all golfers are confident until they play their shot on the first tee !
