The aim of the Society is to increase the recognition of Leith Links as the home of the earliest recorded rules of golf and one of the game's prominent early locations

Home Membership Current events Recent events Other events The original rules Leith golf history Links Contact Us		The Leith Challenge Medal - 4th July 2008 "For a memorable golfing experience using traditional hickory clubs, come to Leith Links and play on the very turf where golf's earliest rules were written" The second running of the Foulis Medal for local Leith teams saw Leith Links come out on top with a score of 42 for 10 holes, one ahead of South Leith Parish Church, with Leith Rotary 3rd with 48. The Society President, Douglas Foulis, presented the magnificent medal he had donated in 2007 to the winning team. Now that the event has been established for two years we hope that more teams form the Leith community can be encouraged to take part in 2009.
