Return challenge match versus Bruntsfield Short Hole at Bruntsfield - 24th July 2008

Our return match with Bruntsfield Short Hole overturned the "tradition" that the visiting team was always victorious, as BSH run out winners by 3 matches to 1.

This year the match was over 27 holes, with our hosts giving us 5 holes of an advantage in each match, given the very specialist nature of the course.

The results were .....

Ken Gordon & Eugene Bradley were all square with Steven Doyle & David Rintoul

Douglas Foulis & Hugh Blackie lost 2 & 1 to Gordon Cochrane & William Wright

As well as our main sponsors, we are indebted to Bruce Stevenson for their assistance with our events

and also to Edinburgh Leisure for setting up our 5-hole course

Brian Donkin & Graham Wilson were all square with Fraser Gordon & Alastair Stewart

Jim Maguire & Brian Graham lost 4 & 3 to Ian Hislop and Bob Linton
