Home Membership Current events Recent events Other events The original rules Leith golf history Links Contact Us		Challenge match versus Bruntsfield Short Hole at Bruntsfield - 26th July 2007 Bruntsfield Short Hole had been new, but most welcome, visitors to our events at Leith Links earlier this month, we were therefore delighted to be invited to their course for a return match. This resulted in the Society overturning the previous result with a 3-2 victory. But this does not tell the full story! Bruntsfield is a "specialist" course and our hosts generously gave us 4 holes of an advantage in each match. Naturally, a check was made on how the match would have gone without this handicap - it would have been 3-2 to the hosts! The hope was expressed that this will become a regular event in both of our calendars, we are sure it will - even though there is no chance of us getting a 4-hole start next year!
